Pros

I have a job 5 minutes away from my apartment , 20% discount on everything in the store plus whatever coupon we have going on at the time. (Coupons are extremely limited). Occasionally there are treats and jeans days.

Cons

I am a Sales Associate in the most busiest and messy part of the store. (READY TO WEAR) The responsibilities are unlimited and nearly impossible. Unrealistic sales goals, clothes everywhere, the kicker is we have a really big store and they only put one person to cover a large area. Customers are usually pissed and sappy. Due to limited staffing you are expected to do the job of three people. Let's talk credit cards, you're required to sale credit for each and every customer. Not only is it more of a nuisance to the customer it is a bug portion of your annual review. The sales goals are ridiculous! Some days I make it while others I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how am I supposed to make this goal? The icing on the cake is that if you don't make these unrealistic expectations the end of the year you are eligible for a pay cut by a $1 but if you do meet or exceed you only get a 10 cents raise.

Pros

I loved my job. I’m met so many wonderful people. And the associates couldn’t have been better.

Cons

I hurt myself and had to have surgery, and I was on Worker’s Comp. with limited availability. Because hours were short in operations, they made up this crazy position and wanted me to be ”lead” of the markdown team. I knew that meant for the most part to do go backs. I told them I wasn’t allowed to be on my feet that long and so she said they couldn’t accommodate me and I had to leave. And then the manager had the nerve to call their workers comp and told them I wasn’t coming into work. The management at that time was horrible. But there was a time when I first started working there that to store manager, and the assistant manager were wonderful. We were all so sad they left, but it didn’t take this new manager that I was talking about any time at all to lose almost the entire store associates.
