I left with the first wave of people a few months ago and I am so happy I did. After the new year drastic leadership changes happened and the company started to get more un-aligned instead of aligned. Every week there was another new brand, goal, aesthic we had to uphold along with the new of someone leaving. When I first started working at Belk I loved it, but after realizing you basically had to gravel / wait for a many years to get a promotion and the salaries were lower then average I began to get disheartned but stayed because I did enjoy my job. However once the "Re-Organization" Plan was annnounced and no one on senior leadership could provide a straight answer as to what were the plans for the MA position- I made the heard decision to leave. Good thing because I just heard they let all the MA's go along with a good number of people in other positions... its a pity because I originally went into Belk thinking this would be the job I retire from.. oh well.
