Pros
I was so excited to join the company. The name Being Human itself sounded like a place i wanted to be. With so much experience i thought i had a lot to bring to the table. Some of the long term administrative staff are great and helped me deal with some of the horrific experiences i endured from management. In short, at least i had people to talk to when i was literally in tears during some of the bad days. I had so much respect for this lady at the start but when i saw the way people were treated and spoken to i was absolutely horrified.
Cons
I supported a senior director. I knew that this person would be difficult and had been through over a dozen EA's (or more) within a year but i had no idea how unprofessional and poor i would be treated by this person. Some days i sat at my desk petrified and not knowing what to expect depending on what personal issues would be brought to the office. 4 other staff members left the company during my employment and i was there for less than a year. I was told directly by my manager that she didn't like people scared of her and she could do whatever she wanted as she was in a position to. Every time there was an issue with an employee legal advise was sought to find a loophole to remove someone. I didn't think this kind of thing existed these days. I was talked down to, berated in front of others, bullied and even physically pushed out of the way on one occasion by her. Luckily the policy at Being Human is the person is walked out immediately. There was also a completel lack of respect for the global organisation we represented. How can someone own a company called Being Human but literally have such a lack of care for employees. The peole who left whilst i was employeed were completely destroyed towards the end. The actual location was very hard to get to. Buses were unreliable and parking was beyond a joke. Not a suitable location for an office with no parking onsite for staff.
