Pros
I love working at Behavior Frontiers!
I think Behavior Frontiers is a great company, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I have worked for other ABA companies, but it wasn't until I came to Behavior Frontiers that I finally felt like I was trained appropriately, and supported by management staff-both managers and directors. The managers and directors in my region frequently come out to overlap and supervise sessions, and I know that I can always reach out to them for anything, without feeling like I am bothering them. The company does a great job of supporting their employees and their clients. I always feel listened to and appreciated. They also go out of their way to host fun events for us, and frequently give out fun little perks (taking us to coffee, gift cards etc.). To me it shows that they truly care and appreciate the work we do.
In addition, there's tons of room for growth. You can start as a BT, be promoted to senior BT, and then go on to be promoted to case manager or even to a director. It's great to know how much support there is for you, and opportunities-if you want to pursue this work. Even if you don't want to do ABA the rest of your life, the managers are still there for you and help any way they can with your career goals.
I love Behavior Frontiers, and am so glad I have the opportunity to work here! Not to mention you get to work with super great kids :)
Cons
There really aren't any cons that I have about the company. The cons are the same as any ABA company-clients cancel. It sucks. But it happens, and no one can control that. Scheduling and management try to find you a fill in case, but sometimes there just isn't one.
It can be hard to get to full time hours since the kids are in school so hours are limited. I feel like they tell you this in the interview and there isn't a false idea of how many hours you will get or anything. If you want full time and have open availability, the managers and schedulers try to get you there. They also definitely work around your schedule if you have more limited availability.
