Pros

Compensation is good when you finally get paid. Paying people every 6-9 months means that 6 months out of the year your employees are living below the poverty line. If you would not be happy getting paid every 6 months you should not ask your employees to be happy with these conditions.

Cons

They had a black VP. They made her work 7 days a week from 9-9. Two managers quit and they didn’t replace them, instead they made her do both jobs. When she left they hired a young white woman and gave her weekends off, she never worked past business hours, and they hired her an additional manager. At least 3 black persons from the division office left or were laid off in the beginning of Covid, they were all replaced by young or slim white women. They had another round of layoffs the people laid off were all minorities. 3 black (1 lgbtq), 1 white lgbtq, and 1 Middle Eastern. When it was time to re-assign sales people they told a number of black sales persons they could not reassign them for a few months, but a white woman was re-assigned immediately to 3 different communities. Advice to management: diversity and inclusion takes effort, it’s not simply a talk to be had. Actually, skip the talk and take action.
