Pros

Its a job with decent wages, you won't get rich, and you'll never move up. If your the kind of person who shows up and does their job not needing nonrecognition you won't do well here. This company the kiss butt people will move up and the workers go ignored. You get to see alot of the country. In general I'm happy with what I get, but feel that over 75% of our employees are treated like a number and nobody cares if they don't get a paycheck for weeks or months.

Cons

Hotels are bad, they would rather save $10 then put us in a nicer place. Constant travel. They switched us from regional travel to national travel with no pay increase. Also you will NEVER get a raise unless you take a promotion which is almost impossible to get. Auto allowance barely covers your oil changes and you will beat your car into the ground just to work a week. They constantly have payroll issues and will ignore it for weeks hoping you will forget about it. The only company I've worked at that the HR department actually works against you. The company would rather sub out work to a contractor from Texas than give local people work. LOTS of unpaid time traveling to jobs. Beam Team even stopped giving us a Thanksgiving bonus, as if it wasn't bad enough getting laid off every holiday week. This company has been getting worse by the year and they need to look back to their roots back when this was a good company a few years ago. You will spend all day at an airport traveling and you can't even get your per diem because "you weren't in a hotel" even though it may take 12 hours to travel home. We restructured in Jan 2013 and all the personal touches are gone. Now you deal with someone in Atlanta that has never met you to manage everything from scheduling to payroll and they slack on that most of the time. The further from Atlanta you are the worst you will be treated.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. The Beam Team has recently been very focused on improving employee development and performance measurement activities to provide growth opportunities, and we are proud to say that this effort has resulted in literally hundreds of promotional pay increases in the last 12 months. I'm sorry that your experience is not reflective of these efforts, but we hope that it improves for you very soon. I will personally follow up on some of your other comments you made, such as payroll issues, to ensure that we are treating employees with the highest level of service as possible. We certainly understand that our field staff plays a vital role in the success of our business, and we are dedicated to providing the best possible work experience we can. We welcome additional feedback to help us improve and please feel free to reach out to me directly. John Morris Vice President of Human Resources johnmorris@thebeamteam.com
