Pros
A stable position with regular workflow, given this is a vendor with contract assignments. Ubiquitous presence at a company as large as Cisco and many openings across several departments.
Cons
Lack of any career advancement. I've heard the argument that Bay Area Tech is a contracting firm and people should have realistic expectations. But this firm thwarts any moves that an individual takes to advance their own career. There are a lot of employees of Bay Area Tech that are completely unqualified and unprofessional. There is a lot of favoritism and gossiping, like it's high school. I have worked for several contracting firms and for large companies in the Silicon Valley and none were run as bad as Bay Area Tech.
