Pros

Free jewelry Overtime always offered when holidays arrive

Cons

Management has no inclination as to what they are doing. Everyday someone is fired. Literally it's a ghost town in there. They went from over 100 employees to 15 in a matter of 3 weeks. It has nothing to do with the holiday season being over either. Employees are lucky if there is any heat in there too. Some days it's hot other days it's cold. Every day people come in there fearing for their job and safety. Honestly no one cares about anyone health or livelihood at that establishment. There are people smoking illegal substances such as weed in the locker rooms and taking hard core drugs in the bathroom, supervisors and staff drinking liquor. This happens everyday. If anyone walks into the locker rooms you feel like you will die. Your head spins, your heart beats faster, you begin to sweat profusely, and feel like you are going into panic mode. The smell is horrendous. It's as if the people that are smoking the weed mixed it with other illegal narcotics. You speak to management about the ordeal and they absolutely do nothing whatsoever. They only care about getting the orders out. You can be nauseous and vomiting from all the smoke fumes and dust at this establishment and no one cares. When you call out or ask to leave early cause you are sick or have to take off because if a family emergency, management becomes extremely volatile and bitter towards you. They use manipulative tactics to fire you. Also people will break into your locker and steal your money, metrocards and anything they can get their hands on. Nothing is safe in there. Sad part is that there are cameras everywhere. Management only take control when their safety is at stake or when they don't want a lawsuit. Over 3 weeks ago an employee of baublebar almost got bludgeoned to death with a hammer. That was the only time management wanted to look out for the staff safety because the employee came after them with the hammer as well. The company (if that's what you would like to call it) is a high school drama filled mad house. There are too many so called team leads, managers, and supervisors in there. None of them have no enthusiasm, skills, responsibility, dignity respect, and leadership to be in charge of anything or anyone for that matter. I would have never in a million years thought I would work with such manipulative, evil, condescending, sabotaging people in my life. Animals have more respect than those people at Baublebar. My co-workers will literally frame and sabotage you just to get a promotion to save their useless job. What do I mean by useless? Well the hourly rate at this run down shack pays $10/hr. Anyone would think that this so called prestigious company would pay more for doing 3 jobs at once. As a fulfillment Associate you have to conduct Quality Control of the jewelry, ship the items, and pack them in a certain time frame and make sure the order is perfect. Everyone must be fast and diligent. But the jewelry is cheap and not of good quality and their shipping system is trash. Every 5 secs the system crashes but yet management, team leads, and the CEO ridicules and belittles you for not having a ton of orders to ship. Baublebar is a contradiction. They claim to provide the best and affordable jewelry but yet their jewelry is cheap and breaks the minute you receive it and costs 3x as much. Anyone can buy the same jewelry from a vendor on a street corner or at a department store for half their asking price and it will look better and last a lifetime. The tactics that they use to fix their jewelry is underhanded and downright immoral. Let's just say that the staff and employees use the same household products that can be found in your bathroom and kitchen or at an art supply store to repair the damage goods. They use manipulative tactics to fire you. The company is a mess. There are too many so called bosses but not any leaders. Even the CEO is not capable of running that company. What's even worse is that management implemented a nonsense rule called (3 strikes) which is 3 orders errors and you are fired. If you are shipping, packing and QCing over 80-100 orders a day and not to mention QCing international and expedited orders everyone should be entitled to make a mistake. Management does not take into consideration the hard work that people do. Also when you have order errors they want to make it seem like ours your fault if the jewelry brakes. The jewelry is cheap and very bad quality what do you expect if you are purchasing your jewelry in bulk from a foreign country. Management uses you to their advantage and disposes you like trash. They also promote people in there that have no credentials whatsoever. People in there fight you and use manipulative tactics to get to the top of nothing. Everyone in there really think that they will get far in that company. That's a joke. It's sad that people will be so ruthless to keep a $10/hr especially in the age bracket they are in. Majority of the people that work there are between the ages of 29-50, with 2 percent between the ages of 18-28. Majority of the people being evil and manipulative for their jobs are the older people. People in there are forging other people names on orders, creating nonsense drama, with holding orders from you when it's slow, creating lies and drama to get you fired. You speak to management about how you have over 20 order errors in a 2 week span time they state you need to be careful when checking the items. You directly speak to them about people forging your name on items and they don't care or bother to look into the matter. Baublebar is a downward spiral into disaster. No one career at that place will go beyond Baublebar.

I hope readers will have the wisdom to see that this is the libelous rant of a disgruntled worker and probably an ex-employee. We ask readers to understand that while no company is perfect the claims detailed here are ludicrous and in no way representative of the work life we believe we offer to our valued and conscientious distribution center employees.

Pros

You’re paid weekly and you don’t use phones unless customer needs too.

Cons

I completed a seasonal position at BaubleBar, and my experience was marked by significant challenges that ultimately led to my departure from the company. When I first started in June, I received only three days of training with a supervisor. This brief onboarding period left me feeling unprepared for my role, especially given that it was a busy summer season leading into the holiday peak. Initially, I was informed that my position would last until October, but due to the high demand for the upcoming Christmas season, I was asked to stay on. Despite my commitment to the company, I continued to face challenges related to insufficient training and a lack of communication from management. I proactively sought additional training and support, asking daily for guidance and reaching out via email to management for assistance. Unfortunately, the response I received indicated that the supervisor would only be available for a week, and I was left without the necessary knowledge to perform my duties effectively. The leadership team communicated that micromanagement would be provided only when deemed necessary, but I found that I received little to no support throughout my time there. This lack of guidance created a toxic work environment, where I often felt undervalued and overwhelmed. I was also asked to train new hires despite not having received proper training myself, which added to my frustration and feelings of inadequacy. After being assured that I could potentially continue with the company beyond the seasonal position, I ultimately faced termination due to mistakes that I believe were a direct result of inadequate training. The message I received stated that I would not be eligible for rehire due to these errors, which was disheartening given the circumstances. Overall, my experience at BaubleBar was not what I had hoped for. The lack of training, poor communication, and limited support created an environment that hindered my ability to succeed.
