Pros

Bark is a great place to work. Everyone is really friendly up to the senior management/founders making it a really inclusive place to work. Unlike other agencies to the clients that are onboarded are picked as we are able to work with them as partners rather than people just to build and optimise ads. We are often involved in their business planning, topline revenue and LTV which enables a great sense of satisfaction when you see a business grow - this has meant great client retention resulting in a really high standard of work over an extended period of time. It is also a great place to progress with regular pay rises and a clear path to progress. There is also regular constructive feedback with managers as well as the opportunity to learn new platforms like Google, GA, Shopify etc. Everyone is approachable meaning it's a good place to learn from others as well as have a real team spirit, which is reflected in the regular team meetings, socials and just general chat in Slack! The business as such is growing fast which is super exciting to be a part of, it's doubled in size since I joined and with no signs of slowing down its an exciting future ahead. The founders are also very open with the pipeline so its clear that there is a regular flow of clients should we have the capacity to take them on! I also find it great as its super flexible as we are able to work from home or go into the office in London.

Cons

Not a huge amount of cons but there has been a period where the workload was slower as the business grew and took more people on and clients were in the pitching stage. This has changed now and I feel is more a reflection of the industry rather than the company with a lot of the work coming in Q4. There isn't necessarily super structured training at the moment, so for learning new platforms or getting up to speed with ways of working so there could be an element more of that but I am someone who prefers to learn by doing mostly.

Pros

Some of the staff are wonderful and talented

Cons

Company ruined by arrogant founders who will leave you out to crash with no resources. won't give you any tools to succeed and constantly preach AI as some kind of silver bullet but nothing practical. I've also seen them treat staff really poorly, firing people at a whim and leaving their teams short staffed. Resulted in clients being angry and having to work all nighters to fix problems caused by lack of people and resources

Hi, we’re genuinely sad to read this review after parting ways on good terms, but appreciate you sharing your thoughts. We’re glad you found the team to be wonderful and talented - they really are. As leaders, protecting that talent means protecting the culture of collaboration and excellence that they joined us for. Sometimes that requires making tough decisions, both for the wellbeing of the team and in the best interests of our clients. It’s the worst part of our responsibility, is never an easy decision, and we’re truly sorry it ultimately came to that here. But safeguarding our culture and standards has been the key to helping our people grow quickly in their careers and to delivering consistently strong results for our partners. We wish you all the best in your next role and thank you for your time with us.

Pros

Friendly, talented & best in class.

Cons

Possibly more emphasis on sustainability. Something, seemingly, a lot of agencies struggle with.
