Pros
- Competitive salary I can't think of anything more..
Cons
There are so many things that don't work so it feels a bit overwhelming to express my thoughts in a review, hopefully I can give you a sense of how Bambora works from my perspective. I'm just going to highlight a fraction of the chaos you might experience as a future employee. Bambora is a organisation created by smashing together roughly 10 smaller payment players into one end-to-end payment provider focusing on SMB. Bambora was later acquired by Ingenico late 2017. The outcome is a organisation with no sense of a clear structure and extremely silo based. Each part of the organisation is operating isolated without giving any thoughts on how initiatives will impact the end product and commercial offering. The management is preaching our organisation values, customer centricity and innovation - my experience (and many clients`) is the complete opposite. Any person with common sense will quickly understand that the management is only putting on a show to position themselves in the corporate politics game, putting Bambora`s future in second hand. It's very clear that the (top)management have other incentives tied to historic events. All the decisions regarding product management and operations is heavily reflecting the opposite of how the company wants to be perceived within the industry by customers (and probably potential buyers). The commercial strategy playbook makes sense and brings hope, but the reality is far away from it. As a salesperson this is extremely demotivating, you feel that you’re always on the very edge of being dishonest in interactions with your customers and our relationships is always hanging by a thin thread when basic expectations aren’t fulfilled.
