Micromanagement is ingrained in the culture, mistakes are never overlooked (at any level) and can be a real mark against you as you try to grow. There is constant process changes so you have to regularly adapt to new ways of doing the same thing.
You have to be a certain type of person to thrive and progress. It can take a very long time to get promoted. It can feel personal.
Management don't listen to employees. It is very old fashioned, especially the idea of having to work in the office and the limitations on working remotely (again, can be based on personal bias).
People leave a lot so there is a general feeling of unease.
