An incredibly old school, toxic environment. I would count it as one of the worst places I've ever worked. Would not close or allow staff to work from home over any lock downs, and held more than private drink function for staff during lockdown. Expectation of long hours and little support from management. The MD has a shocking attitude and instils fear in junior staff. I would recommend speaking to former staff before applying. It looks great from the outside in but had a tremendous impact on my mental health and work life balance. Huge turnover for such a small work force. Mostly caused by culture or forcing out staff in certain roles if there are any disagreements. There is no HR team and nowhere to turn if you need advice or are struggling. Building not accessible for physical disabilities.

Great opportunities for professional development. The company covers the costs associated with exams and membership to professional bodies. Good links to the wider investment industry, providing ample opportunity for networking for when you pluck up the courage to find a new employer.

Shocking culture of bullying from the top down - Managing Director intimidates Directors who in turn intimidate staff. No HR structure and nobody to turn to if you have any issues. Long hours for minimal pay. You are generally not accepted if you did not attend private school and are a female. I was told on multiple occasions that my accent was not a fit for the company and was overlooked on multiple occasions despite being more qualified than “peers”.
