Pros

- Mostly amazing coworkers & management. Great to chat with & hang out with during breaks, helpful during work. - Ok employee discount on Kroger products (they make their own version of nearly everything, so this can add up a LOT when used right). - Very forgiving sick leave.

Cons

- Understaffed. - Constant OSHA violations, putting everyone at potential risk. This includes but is not limited to blocking emergency exits, unstable palettes, unhealthy work expectations, &c. - One of the managers at my specific location is prone to aggressiveness, gritting his teeth while talking & clearly at his last spoon at every moment. - Mouse infestation in the in-store warehouse, which is not disclosed to employees. If you're allergic to mice, definitely avoid! - A lack of professionalism & organisation, most notably meaning I was only given some of my most important training over a month into employment, leaving me in the dark as to what to do about certain things until then, & lack of communication when asked about certain things. I still don't know where to put product for some other departments of the store. - Signing a part-time employee for 40 hour work weeks. - Inconsistent work schedule. - Poor work-life balance. - Most egregious of all, absolutely insane expectations of speed for employees. 400 boxes in 4 hours. 100 in 1 hour. 50 in 30 minutes. 1.6 in a minute. All of this while you have to find the product on the shelves, fix any potential issues, move extra to topstock. If topstock is full, move topstock down to make space. Anything that you can't get up to topstock you need to get approved to go into backstock. You're also expected to do this speed during cleaning of spills, finding the equipment to clean spills which is scattered everywhere (making finding it extremely unintuitive & a longer process than it should be), moving any stock that is at the wrong location to the correct location (which can include walking for a whole minute to get there), finding a step-ladder to reach stock which nobody seems to put back when finished (meaning having to walk around the store to find one if you can at all), &c. All of this together makes for an expectation of unpacking & stocking I'd guess about 7 boxes a minute, which is completely delusional to expect anyone to do, especially a new employee which they also expect this all of.
