      Pros

      BR sold itself as a growing, aggressive player poised on the edge of greatness. They built a beautiful new office in downtown Milwaukee, and talked about their open and creative environment. I left a high paying job to join them.

      Cons

      I quickly learned that the firm is tightly controlled by a very small group of white males at the top who do not deliver what they sell. In addition to not providing the rewarding and challenging work they promised, their client base is almost entirely based in a few very large agricultural accounts. I quickly realized the place was a Fun House of Cards, where nothing is as it appears and left the agency.

      I just celebrated my third year at Bader Rutter, and I continue to be impressed with the direction the company is going. The work is exciting, the people are some of the smartest and most strategic I’ve ever collaborated with, and there’s a strong spirit of teamwork across teams and disciplines. Leadership, including our CEO, is thoughtful, transparent, and forward-looking—they set a vision that feels both inspiring and achievable. I genuinely feel supported here, both professionally and personally, and that makes all the difference. Pros: -Collaborative, team-first culture -Leadership that communicates openly and sets a clear direction -Smart, strategic colleagues who challenge and inspire you -Opportunities to grow and make an impact

      Like any fast-moving agency, things can get busy, but the support and collaboration across the team balance it.
