Pros

Good work/life balance (at least at the corporate level). I did learn a lot about my chosen career, though most of it was self-taught.

Cons

This company will not pay you what you are worth. You will do the work of 3+ people and will be promised raises that will never happen. Working for this company is the very definition of overworked and underpaid. I bent over backwards, working myself half to death doing the work of three people after my 2 co-workers had enough and left, and I was promised a raise every month for an entire year! Then, the very moment I handed in my letter of resignation, I was told "Oh, we just approved your raise." Naturally, that miraculous raise wasn't applied for my final weeks there. They also seem to reward those who do things to cost the company a fortune instead of rewarding those who actively try to mitigate risk. The managers who have gotten the company fined by the Department of Labor and smeared all over the news for doing bad business are given raises and huge bonuses, but those who find ways to save the company money and improve processes are told that the company can't afford to give them raises. There is zero accountability for managers who screw up constantly, and this includes the owner's son (who has no business running a company). I could go on and on about the many inadequacies this company has, but these are the main things that made me move on to a new company that actually appreciates me, pays me what I'm worth, and LISTENS to (and implements) the suggestions I make to improve processes and systems.
