Pros

My time with BWM Outcomes proved to me one thing; that certain companies still put value in their employees above all else. BWM Outcomes is one of those companies. In some of the most difficult assignments that a contracting agency can take on, BWM Outcomes knew how to leverage effective leadership and instill unquestionable trust in its clients. Their attention to detail, moral values, and decisiveness in the field puts them an order of magnitude higher than most other companies in terms of competence. I think what impressed me most however, was the bilateral communication that took place while working there. For example, my team had a sit down with the VP to discuss anything that was on our minds concerning our scope of work. The VP. This was unheard of for me at the time as a contractor but we sat down, had a meal, discussed what was going right and what we felt the challenges were. Afterwards I received an email from the VP addressing my concerns and options to move forward. This was, in my experience, an unprecedented level of respect for one's employees, bar none.

Cons

Not really a con for BWM Outcomes but some of the clients BWM Outcomes served were difficult to work with. However, I have not been part of a contract in my entire career where this is not the case to some degree.

Pros

BWM Outcomes has an engaged leadership, with value placed on work-life balance, professional development, and a supportive culture. The company promotes autonomy and purpose within its teams, which is quite refreshing in the DoD contracting world.

Cons

As a small business, direct contract opportunities can be limited based on their focus on specific customers and clients.

Pros

Coming up on my 3rd anniversary and seems like a great opportunity to review. It was a risk moving from a large company with lots of contracts to a established but growing small. I wanted a defense contracting job where I would be more than an employee number or a line item on an invoice. BWM is a small boutique government contracting company that has opportunities inside and outside of the DoD. I quickly found out that my hard work was rewarded inside the job and by BWM. My personnel experience is one of having the CEO and corporate staff wanting to get to know me, my career goals and working with me to achieve them. I feel like I can grow my career along with BWM. BWM invests in human capital and actively pursues contracts that would help current employees with their career progressions and aspirations. Feels good that the CEO knows everyone’s name and has a pulse on where BWM will be in a few years. I am used to bigger companies grabbing as many contracts as they can and churning contractors through only worried about the bottom line. I am very happy making my career choice with BWM and everything the future strategic direction of the company.

Cons

It is a smaller company. Fewer contracts then a lot of big's, however, they are willing to work with me on an individual level to secure contracts that will actually benefit me.
