Pros

Fringe benefits, ie.) company cc, toll-tag and fuel card.

Cons

1.) Endless, Unnecessary Travel: BTC is more competitive outside the metroplex than within it, meaning you’ll be spending an absurd amount of time on the road if you want even a remote chance of succeeding in your role. 2.) Employer-Centric Tyranny: BTC is not here for its employees. The leadership doesn’t believe in servant leadership; instead, they expect the seas to part when they enter a room—every single time—no matter what. Their delusional sense of self-importance is staggering. 3.) No Growth, No Guidance: If you’re ambitious or an up-and-comer, don’t even think about working here. There’s zero room for growth, no mentorship, no guidance, and absolutely no continued education. And forget about annual evaluations—leadership avoids them like the plague, fearing that employees might expect a bonus. Which brings me to… 4.) Zero Financial Incentives: Don’t expect a set bonus structure, and don’t expect raises. You’ll be lucky to get a pat on the back for your hard work, let alone any financial recognition. 5.) Work-Life Balance? Not Here: BTC doesn’t just discourage a good work-life balance—they downright destroy it. They expect you to sacrifice your weekends in the office rather than enjoying time with your family. On top of that, they offer a laughable 10 days of PTO after a full year of service. 6.) No Middle Management, No Privacy: Every single thing you say or do goes straight to the top. You’ll be dealing directly with the EVP, VP, and President for even the smallest issues. There’s no buffer, no autonomy, and certainly no privacy at BTC.
