Pros

Hires people off the street with just a high school education and pays them what people with graduate degrees make Benefits are about $60 per MONTH for a WHOLE FAMILY Five consecutive days off EVERY three weeks! It's like I get vacation every month. Plant closes from Dec 23 until the new year, WITH pay. Company still gives BONUSES and we are just production laborers. Pay is highest in the town. We are in country Greer SC, not the big cities and paid extremely well. Pay is $28 top pay and you only have to be BMW for a measly five years to get it with loads of overtime. One guy on the line made $95k and he only has high school education. BMW gives us leased vehicles. They pay maintenance and insurance. You can drive a $100k 7 series for about $250 bi weekly or a $65k 5 series luxury and loaded for about $175 bi weekly or a Roadster for only about $100 bi-weekly. 2017 or newer. Onsite doctors, cafe, and lots of vending machines.

Cons

Negative employees who think the company owes them MORE than what they give. Unskilled coworkers come in and think they have engineering degrees or a special skill and want to make $35 per hour or what other auto companies in Texas or Michigan make. Long walks to the parking lot. When hired through the temp agency it takes 1-3 years (depending on how hard you work) to be permanent. Flat organization and no room for real growth, but what do you expect? People have to leave positions for new ones to open. People don't leave good companies. Cafeteria lines are kind of long at night and they need more lines open. Breaks are to short for us smokers because you have to walk so far to the smoking area that your break is almost over by the time you get there. Managers cater to their problem kids instead of the good workers who don't complain.
