Pros
Some really amazing people work here. Location is good. Your experience depends heavily on what department you are in. Some are great, functional departments. Others are broken, mismanaged departments. Feels like there is two cultures. One surrounding closing deals (sales/underwriting/renewals) and another that doesn't touch live deals (IT/mktg/QA). The culture you experience depends on where you are.
Cons
BFS is at a crossroads. The employees continue to use GD as an outlet to express concerns because employees don't know where else to go. We know this is read, so this is where we go. Internal management is not strong. Owner and previous CEO has come back, but is the damage done? It will take time to unravel the intensity and mismanagement that existed under old CEO. PTO is sad for first 2 years. Some people in upper management are not pleasant to work with and will shift blame to others. Most protect themselves. Very little sense of teamwork or shared success.
