Pros

Other departments within the business seem great, laid back. Allowed to work from home, no micromanaging, very friendly. However do not recommend service delivery. Quite a relaxed friendly atmoshphere overall and other than some management, some great colleagues who can make the working day a bit easier. Members off staff have previously left in the past due to feeling uncomfortable to the point they havent even worked their notice.

Cons

Managers of this team are sisters who have a very bullying approach and discuss everybodys business within the team down to why people are off poorly and peoples personal issues. Disciplinarys etc. Nothing is very private and they get involved in all of the “team gossip”. Very obvious who their “favourites” are and if you dont fit in you know about it. Bad attitudes from both of them, making people feel uncomfortable and if you speak up they are very stand offish. People are scared to call in sick for genuine illness and as mentioned it is discussed across the team why youre off regardless. youre given a thousand questions when you call in the morning and are made to feel you need to be back whilst still ill due to their lack of staff, youre told to take yourself to the doctors and try to come in later or “take a couple of paracetamol and let me know how you are later” as mentioned quite a bullying approach. You're also made to phone in the afternoon regardless, twice in one day. Managers make it apaullingly obvious when they dont like you and single out members of staff repeatedly, calling people to other members of staff. They have particular people they spend there dinners with and go out on there cigarette breaks with. They do not get involved in the rest of the team. Managers also allow colleagues to sit and call others and as mentioned, join in. Absolutely no flexibility and only 2 people allowed off at a time on annual leave. Making it extremely difficult even at the start of the year to plan 2 weeks away. Micromanaged and absolutely NO recognition for good work. Managers do not care how hard you try, constantly made to pick up everyone elses mess and for other peoples laziness and try to pass this off as “we are all one team” granted this is the truth, however some are allowed to sit back and do nothing whilst others are constantly working hard day in day out. No matter how much you have done of your own work you are made to compensate for this. Barely any support and people are pushed out if you dont fit within there personality criteria, to the point they usually leave. High staff turn over, i would imagine due to this. Low paid for what is expected of you and job decription when they are recruiting is far from the truth, this is made out you are there to just take calls and also make them, when it is far from the case. Parts of the role are more like a call centre everyday in the way it is audited and very scripted. Opinions are not listened too, it is there way or no way. When managers take people into the office for a chat, they make it very known they are “angry” or unhappy with that person to the whole team, very unproffesional. Really would not recommend this department of the company.

Pros

Nice offices Great people Excellent perks and benefits

Cons

Lack of progress and development for certain roles unless you’re of significant value to the business. The electrical division are a sickening, sycophantic sales engine who will sell their souls for a purchase order and do anything to win a new contract.
