Pros
Very decent benefits with pension (I think it is the rare-to-find DB pension)
Cons
You need to have a strong nerve when scolding others or arguing with others. If you pose no "threat" to others (here threat means you show better technical knowledge/skills or better anything than some long-time employees), you are more likely to invite criticism from people, and managers will show no sympathy to you.
