The benefits package isn't bad. Atmosphere is better than many places.
Cons
Worked for them as a temp then was hired on for 8 months. Pay is often too low to take advantage of the 401k match. People are often expected to utilize personal vehicles to carry company parts and tools. The challenge of the work should be completing it in a timely manner, and to provide quality work. With BCI, the biggest challenge was waiting 6, 8, 10 weeks, or more, for parts that are in the contract, and in the spec sheets, but never get ordered, despite repeated constant contact with the PM to get them. Too frequently, a disgruntled customer is contacting people above the PM level to get the parts that should have been on site day one of work starting, but 10 weeks later still haven't been ordered. Excuses get made daily for why the parts and supplies are not on hand, but in the end, it's a failure of PMs to get them there. I've seen jobs where grounding was never completed due to this problem, and were left that way. Sales reps underbid jobs, resulting in cost overruns on labor and materials. They lose contracts due to managerial incompetence, and don't fix the real problem, instead shifting blame.
