You could make decent money as an associate if you stick with it and make it through. Lots of freedom to run your book of clients as you see fit.

Poor management, if you are not a circular 230 representative, you have to schedule a weekly meeting with a CPA to have him sit in on your calls to the IRS. No training plan for new paralegals and lots of turnover.
