Pros

Good pay but super shady

Cons

Consistently let excellent sonographers go or find reasons to fire them- occurs about every 6 months for multiple sonographers across the U.S. Shady management that justifies and backs up management - does not have sonographers' backs & calls them after they've worked all day to let them know, end of day, that is their last day working for BB due to company cut backs. No PTO payout, no severance pay, benefits good for 2 weeks from date of lay off. Ruins ppl's confidence, lives and careers. And they do not care. They simply let you go and move on.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. There are a couple of things to respond to here, so let's start with role eliminations. Retaining stellar sonographers is one of our biggest focuses as a company. That said, we do not have regularly-scheduled role eliminations, and the few that have occurred this year are the first since Covid began. Unfortunately, when a market reorganizes or client needs shift, we aren't always able to find more work for everyone, and a role elimination must occur. We try to do this with sensitivity and respect for the role being eliminated and often write letters of recommendation to aid the job-hunting process. Additionally, our exit benefits are clearly laid out in the team manual, which every team member agrees to upon their hire, and which we stick to when a role elimination has to occur. Secondly, we totally understand the desire for more facetime with Blanca and Ben. They aren't just the founders of our organization, they are incredible people that elevate everyone they come into contact with. Unfortunately, their roles come with so many responsibilities that they often don't have the capacity to personally connect with their nearly 200 team members. However, our regional directors, sonographer leads, sonographer development needs, and others all prioritize this more personal connection to help team members make their voices heard, pursue their professional development goals, and thrive during their time with BB Imaging. Again, thank you for sharing this feedback with us, and we wish you the best moving forward.

Pros

- Decent(ish) pay and benefits

Cons

Disclaimer: I want you to make your own decision about working for this company, but I'm sharing this information so that you also know what you're about to get into. If you're looking for a company with decent-ish pay and benefits and don't care about the working environment/culture, then by all means, work here. Just don't believe anything they tell you and keep your options open, because they will burn you in the end. Not trying to be mean, just being honest. If, however, you value ethical standards, believe in treating people decently, and want honesty from your leadership, this is not the place for you. Here is what you can expect: They will feed you all kinds of "people-first" messaging in the interview. If you get the job, you may even feel like it's true for a little while. Fairly quickly, though, you'll pick up on how they actually treat people, the constantly revolving door, and the hypocrisy of your (often underqualified, if not totally inept) leaders. You can choose to put up with this for as long as you want, or until you are very suddenly let go due to no fault of your own. This company may present a decent opportunity to pay the bills for a little while, just don't trust anyone and keep your options open.
