Great work experience, but difficult to gain seniority because there are too many management level staff. - Interior Designer BAMO Employee Review

Pros

Some of the projects are lovely if you are lucky enough to get placed on them. Several of the principals are decent mentors. The operations manager is a wonderful person, who takes great pride in his work and elevates the office experience tremendously. BAMO makes an effort to prioritize work/life balance more than any other firm I have worked for by far.

Cons

Too many principals and associates jockeying for position. There are a lot of strong personalities in management, who often avoid speaking to one another if their ideas clash on a project. This creates unnecessary tension and places undue burden upon younger staff, who are forced to act as go-betweens. Uneven workload - some designers have too much work, others seemingly have very little and constantly leave the office early or arrive late. There seem to be exceptions made for certain people and not others, which creates poor morale.
