Leadership has largely disconnected from core engineering best practices. While "self-management" is the official stance, the lack of clear boundaries and actual authority makes it difficult for teams to execute effectively. Additionally, the recent workforce reductions have created an environment where staff no longer feel comfortable providing honest upward feedback.
