Pros

Friendly environment, opportunities to progress internally, always willing to be flexible.

Cons

Only 30p and hour more for a significant amount of extra work and responsibility. Similar companies offer a better incentive to take on such a role. Frequently put supervisors on shifts starting only half an hour before opening, knowing full well that to be ready for opening following company guidelines, would take longer. As a result many supervisors would start work early, unpaid.
