Pros

Having Swedish roots, is probably the reason that B-Reel feels like such a flat organization. There's no "bosses". There are teams and everyone works together to problem solve. The leaders within the organization are incredibly passionate and so spark excitement into the teams. They're excited about the projects coming in the door, so everyone gets excited too. Their the only company who really doesn't care about the project budget. They care about the possibilities for creative and innovation. And the chance to grow the team members capabilities and knowledge base.

Cons

Hard-working to a fault - Its tough to leave the office when Managers are working there later than everyone else. If they're here late, you kinda feel like you have to be too. Office decor/"professionalism" is not a priority but having a nice space to come to work in and show off a bit sometimes would be really nice.

Pros

- Everyone is very chill and willing to help out when you have questions. - The supervisors (Creative Directors) are very down to earth and provide you with materials that help you grow as a designer.

Cons

Can't really think of any at the moment, to be honest.

Pros

I've worked at 6+ shops over my 10 year career and B-Reel is easily the best experience I've had. The founders are still very much involved and have taken pains to ensure its a warm, generous place to work. They very obviously care about the people, the culture, and want to do interesting work. The structure is pretty flat which gave teams a lot of autonomy; some like that, some don't. I liked it. The NY office was always comfortable and well-appointed, though it's changed locations since I left. Even when I left the company, everyone was supportive and congratulatory, eager to see one of their own move onto something new and exciting.

Cons

While I was there, the company was figuring out how to evolve with the changing industry landscape. That led to some people disagreeing with the direction – the work we were doing might not have been the work they came there to do. While the leadership always did its best to be transparent, the transition led to some grumbling and disagreement.
