There are definitely some politics and visible hierarchy at B+H. You won't move up and get a raise just because you've been working hard for many years - you have to make that connection with one of the partners (who have power and voice) to push for your promotion. Also, it's all about "money" and business especially with some of the partners. Sometimes too much to a point where you feel completely uninspired to work there anymore.
