Pros

One can learn about good software - even if outdated, it is still better than most direct competitors - used by cpg clients if you spend the extra time. Keep your head down and 'management' will probably leave you alone. Then move onto client-side category management/insights etc. Top data processing capability.

Cons

The really smart employees seem to move on, or are moved on. Aztec does not do very much beyond data processing and delivery of bases and software. Maybe being owned by IRI will change this. Beware though, IRI is owned by venture capitalists. Aztec has had 4 or 5 owners - all global companies - in the last 10 years, so it's a bit hard for little Australia to keep itself at the leading edges.

Pros

Great software, awesome team. Cutting edge data processing. Industry disrupters. Strong FMCG Market presence, if you would like to learn the FMCG industry this is an excellent place to do so.

Cons

Poor management team. Lacks vision and skill. Rewards and promoting politically skilled individuals. Doesn't recognise the value of it's people. Thinks they can be easily replaced - and forgets the skill and knowledge they have which is not that easy to 'replace'.

Pros

It is a global company and a good name to have on your CV. Hardly any overtime.

Cons

The company has a lot growing up to do. The culture is not great. The management are not willing to invest in staff development and training. In the past year a number of senior personnel left. Employees are much better off keeping heads down. Management style is my way or the highway. Very poor staff morale.
