1. they attract talented and accomplished faculty members 2. focus on rigour in courses and research 3. provides academic freedom to pursue your research interests and develop courses accordingly 4. A liberal space and work culture 5. spirited environment 6. focus on interdisciplinary studies that is much required 7. supportive work environment
Cons
1. salaries are low in general 2. they need to open up opportunities for fresh graduates who want to take up academia as a career choice 3. though the institution focuses on research in a fairly well-rounded manner, they have not figured out how to encourage youngsters to be a part of the institution.
