Pros

Irvine Company office building which comes with a doorman, gym, and paid parking. Close proximity to the mall which comes in handy during lunch breaks.

Cons

This company takes the cake on awful working environments and culture. The response to the pandemic was frightening and they were clearly prioritizing profits over people. I came to realize that having a drop of empathy in your personality did not make you suitable for a position like this. It was very clear that their partnership with HRBlock was based on predatory marketing practices that targeted financially illiterate families of color living below the poverty line. It was too much on my mental health to deal with the cries and pleads asking where their money was only to tell them that I had no answers. I quit 3 months into employment after I realized that this job was taking a toll on my mental health and no job is worth that. You are virtually chained to your desk, if you leave for more than 10 minutes you get written up. They monitor keystrokes as a means to track productivity which is completely abhorrent. CEO will die on that hill and does not care what anyone thinks. You are just a number at the end of the day and they do not treat you with any humanity.

Axos Bank Response
4y
In response to the pandemic, we followed the CDC and state/county guidelines and complied with all applicable laws and regulations to ensure that in-office work happened safely. We also provide continued education and updates. Our partnership with H&R Block ended over two years ago and accounts had been migrated to another bank. Our current H&R Block servicing is only for those with an IRA We keep to a schedule for our call center and expect our Team Members to be on time and keep to their schedules and meet the service levels needed. We have a career path for our contact center with regular promotions of our strong performers.
