Pros

Great mission, good benefits, flexible PTO, remote work

Cons

Culture is going downhill. External hires are brought on for leadership positions rather than hiring internally. Axon is a nuanced business in our practices, which makes external hires difficult especially when they have no regard or interest in hearing from tenured employees about current pain points. The boots on the ground workers are rarely listened too and if one tries to speak out about a potential issue in practice, its viewed as unwilling to adapt rather than proactive feedback on something that has already been tried before, leading to exhaustion and burn out from the tenured employees. Used to be a company where candor was expected and encouraged, but now it feels safer to just keep your head down. Flattening the org has led to experienced and tenured employees being let go where as new hires hired in at a higher salary are kept

Thank you for your many years of dedication to our team and our mission, and thank you for your feedback. As we've continued to grow, we've worked hard to preserve our culture of ownership, candor, and continuous improvement that is at the heart of who we are at Axon. Candor and two-way feedback remain priorities, whether through regular 1:1s, leadership AMAs, engagement surveys, or ongoing conversations throughout the year. We want every teammate to feel empowered to speak up. We know some of the best insights come from the people closest to the work. If you're willing to share more about your experience, please reach out to peopleops@axon.com or directly to your leadership team. We'd love to hear from you.

Pros

Good pay and benefits Flexible PTO RSU's

Cons

Company morale is low. The other recent reviews stating this are extremely accurate. Company culture has eroded and the company values don't seem to matter anymore. 'Winning Right' has become lip service. Senior leadership refuses to address the problems many departments are having with headcount and workload. They don't really care about the customer experience. RTO makes no sense when most of your team remains remote in the same role, a role in which you spend much of the time on calls with customers and meeting with other team members virtually. Not enough staff to support the RMS customer base and ticket counts have ballooned.
