Pros
Axios does a great job of building a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive company culture. Managers work hard to make sure employees have what they need to succeed. We have annual learning and conference budgets so we don't let our skills stagnate. There's a detailed rubric to make it straightforward how to work toward a promotion. Company-wide OKRs (objectives & key results) are all brought down to each squad, and individuals have OKRs too, aligned to the promotion rubric. Professional development is prioritized unusually highly here. During the pandemic, Axios really stepped up. They added new benefits, like a budget for upgrading your home office ergonomics and a family fund in case any emergency befalls an employee's family.
