Pros
Inherited good business cultures from the legacy companies, there is a core of open atmosphere where upper middle managers are relatively accessible and open for ideas. There is a basic culture of teamwork across country borders. The products are performing well in the market and are very much appreciated by customers. Questions and reach-outs for support are generally (there are of course exceptions) met with respect and a true willingness to help, at all levels and across all borders.
Cons
Shortsightedness and extreme focus on quarterly results leads to erratic business behavor. HR bypasses middle and upper middle business management in decisions which directly influence their role as leaders and managers, eroding their authority and reducing them effectively to clerks. To much of US sales and management style is forced onto Europe, which is much too diverse to work with just one way of doing things.
