Pros

Some of the people are still trying to make it a good place to work

Cons

-The C-levels do not get a along and regularly trash each other in the meetings when the other one is not there. The CFO says the "best days are when the CEO is not there" The CEO co-founder says his mom, the Founder/President "does not know anything about this business and should step down" the President says her son the co-founder is too emotional and makes overly rash decisions. Also complains that the business she started does not have a place for her. Complains that her son tries to lecture her on feminism. CMO says she was misled about the culture of the org. -They claim female empowerment and diversity but they have laid off 4 people in the last year and all 4 were women of color. -They spent $50k on a party and then laid people off the next day -They hire people promosies bonuses but have not paid out one in the last 3 years. -They list people's jobs when they are still on staff -They promise unlimited vacation but give anyone who takes time off a really hard time about it -People regularly cry in their cars after work

I'm sorry you had such a negative experience at Awe, so much so that you wrote this hateful and disingenuous Glassdoor review. I have a wonderful relationship with my mom, our Founder and President and my best friend. We've proudly built this business together for over 5 years to serve over half a million customers and give back millions to our charity partners. Building a family business isn't easy and we are used to people trying to tear us apart or tear us down. But my mom is a 3 time cancer survivor – she's survived so much worse than your petty lies. We will continue doing great things without you. In case anyone of note is reading this: - We've had to terminate 8 people over our 5+ year history. It happens for various reasons, but it is always awful. We dread it and view it as a tremendous failure whenever it has happened. - The majority of people we've employed in LA over the years have identified as people of color. So yes, some of the people who have been let go have been people of color. - We offer unlimited PTO and have never denied a time off request in our 5+ years of business. Last year our employees took an average of 18 days off each. - We've always had a performance based bonus program for senior staff that is awarded when performance metrics are met. This year (2025) we've extended the program to all employees.

Pros

Awe Inspired fosters a truly collaborative and empowering culture where creativity and open dialogue are encouraged. Max is a visionary leader who values expertise and strategic thinking, making him a great partner in building the business. His brilliance in marketing, combined with his passion for the product, customer, and team, creates an environment where innovation thrives. The company has experienced tremendous growth in a short period, providing exciting opportunities for impact. The team is highly talented, and the leadership is both supportive and challenging in a way that drives excellence while staying aligned with key brand initiatives.

Cons

I’ve had an incredibly positive experience, and there are very few drawbacks to mention. If anything, the rapid growth naturally creates a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. While this brings exciting challenges and opportunities, it may not be ideal for those who prefer a more structured or predictable pace. However, for those who thrive in a dynamic, innovative setting, it’s an energizing and highly rewarding place to be!

Pros

- Give-back component integral to the company and going towards causes that I personally care about. - Genuinely good quality jewelry that's better than the standard within the demi-fine jewelry space. - Worked with hardworking, capable and talented individuals. - I felt my voice was heard and that mentioned concerns were attended to with urgency that surprised me given the size of the company. - Higher pay compared to similarly sized LA-based jewelry brands. - Work from home and work in office.

Cons

Because of the size of the company, it is a dynamic environment that requires one to be flexible and, when necessary, where a few hats. It can make things more stressful however this comes with the territory of working with and for small companies. Onboarding felt a little overwhelming.
