6yI will answer this post beginning with your last question relating to our position on “losing talent.” We never like to lose wonderful, talented people who produce outstanding work. Sometimes, however, people are ready for a change, and we opt not to stand in their way. In fact, we wish them well in their new endeavors. We believe this approach reflects our growth-oriented management style, as we believe that change is good for individuals and for our company.
As to the recent reduction in force we recently experienced, it was directly related to changes in the marketplace due to COVID-19. You have identified yourself as a former employee who was not part of that RIF, and thus not privy to the discussions we had with those impacted or with those employees that remain. You are likewise unaware of how difficult the decision was to make for our leadership or how long we attempted to avoid taking that step.
Finally, your comments relating to “the Billings mafia” and similar references are uninformed at best and spurious at worst. The succession team was hand-picked by our company’s founders and remain, individually and collectively, focused on continuing to build on what they created. Like them, we reward hard work, promote based on merit and listen to and implement good ideas no matter from whom they originate. We don’t pay attention to rumors and instead operate on facts, working to solidify the foundations of our company as we help our clients strengthen theirs.
