Pros

Large stable organisation. Lots of very nice people on a personal level

Cons

People are expected to work constantly, poor work life balance, under resourced but no decisions on which projects not to pursue. Improvements and efficiency measures not taken up because it takes too long to get approval thru the various layers of politics. Departmental managers do not have the autonomy to run things as they know best. Training and travel to other facilities frowned upon as it costs too much.

Pros

They hired me, lol. At a time in need.

Cons

To be honest none. None at all.

Pros

Good exposure to material-driven product development, cross-functional collaboration, and a wide range of customer-facing projects. The role provided opportunities to work on CAD, prototyping, manufacturability, and early-stage concept development across different market segments.

Cons

Project priorities could shift frequently, and the scope of work was sometimes broad compared with the available resources. Career path and role expectations were not always clearly defined, especially for positions that sit between design, engineering, and product development.
