Avid4 Adventure

Is this your company?

Do not be swayed but their surface level promises. - Assistant Director Avid4 Adventure Employee Review

Pros

It’s fun to work at camp and be outside! It’s a good summer job for a HS or college student

Cons

The pay for staff has gone down almost $200 a week since I work in 2022. That should tell you a lot about what they value and why. Avid4 unfortunately wants to appear inclusive, supportive, and diverse but it’s still very surface level. No one is holding them accountable and the CEO is narcissist and unwelcoming to constructive feedback from on-site employees. While Avid4 attempts to confront gender roles, they fail to address the emotional labor that female staff inherently end up doing. I’m sure there are worse companies to work for, but this company won’t change until they have to (or they go bankrupt)

Pros

Rent gear after hours, outside

Cons

Low pay, woke management, cult like agendas, cruel office politics, do not recommend for actual climbing guides or real outdoor instructors, choose a real outfitter to work for
