This job is a trap. When you finally leave, you realize you're light years behind your peers in the corporate world. "skills" don't translate, the culture doesn't prepare you for anything beyond these walls, and it stunts your career perspective. I feel like I wasted critical years right after graduation while everyone else my age was learning transferable skills, moving up, and building real careers. When everyone around you is also in their first job at 22-25, the learning curve turns into an echo chamber and there's only so much growth you can get when nobody in the room has actually done the job, or a job long enough to offer real perspective.
They promote successful salesmen to leadership, not because they have real leadership ability. They just recycle. Nothing changes because leadership is a copy paste of itself.
