People first is truly the main focus be it employees, dealers, customers or guests. Open door atmosphere. Our CEO and the rest of the Executive team work with open doors and interact continuously with team members across the board. When there is a crisis everyone jumps in to help no matter the day or time. Avantguard has a non-profit, AG Cares, for past and present team members that centers on helping team members with financial needs caused by unplanned emergency situations. After hurricane Ian the AG Cares foundation was able to contribute to our team members in Florida impacted by the storm. Meetings are to the point and don't drag on! If it can be an e-mail it is an e-mail! Lastly, I may be biased :D, but I have never supported a CEO or Executive team who are more down to earth. They are aware of the real day to day functions of the company. Our CEO Steve has taken the time to learn what our operators do, listened to calls, and even took trainings. He actively participates in weekly meetings for teams across the company listening, providing feedback, and learning. If he meets someone he doesn't know he takes the time to learn their name and then actually remembers. I know this doesn't sound big but as a CEO that is huge. Trusting leadership isn't always easy, but watching the time, energy and thought that goes into every decision our leaders make is inspiring!
Cons
Interacting across various departments can get tricky with the hybrid platform, I appreciate the 1-2 day a week in office to get to know the teams! Recent switch to a new insurance plan, while affordable is difficult to navigate.
