First, and most importantly, talk to your manager. With so many years at Availity, you must have some useful insights for our technologies' strategic direction. Having open and inclusive dialog is one of our core values, which is why we have quarterly check-ins for managers to meet and chat with their associates. Please use your next check-in to offer your advice in person. And, if for whatever reason you don't think you can talk with your manager, please connect with your HR business partner, and they can advise you. We cannot solve problems if we don't hear about them.
You’ve been pushing hard all these years to help make Availity the successful company it is today. It sounds like you are a bit discouraged about the pace of change. During the past year and a half, we’ve been talking about cloud. It sounds like you’re excited about it, and like many of us, can’t wait to make it happen.
Availity has made several investments in our technology infrastructure over the years to position us for growth and success in the future. As a network engineer, you understand that even some of the smallest changes can mean significant changes for our customers. Hence, the evolution of our technology needs to work for everyone. Availity's solutions power an entire ecosystem of administrative, business, and financial transactions that our customers rely on to do business and provide care every day. That's why any changes need to be thoughtful and implemented without disruption.
We’ve been working hard to define a solid strategy for adding the cloud to our toolset without disrupting the business in the process. While refining the strategy, we’ve also spent the year preparing the ground on the cloud to make it suitable for building secure healthcare applications in an orderly manner. We want to ensure we know how these new processes will work before inviting teams to build new products there. You make the point we shouldn’t rearchitect while deploying new processes. You are correct, and as you can see, we adhere to your view. Reach out to the Digital team and have a conversation with them. True to Availity’s core values, we know they’d love to hear your opinion and share the details. It matters.
Lastly, you’ve been with Availity for a long time. We need your personal leadership to influence our strategy, help drive that strategy, and help make this a place that you enjoy working and are comfortable recommending to others. Please let your manager know if you have suggestions for improving your department's onboarding process and other aspects of our work.
