Pros
- okay pay if you’re a student fresh out of school - You get to work at a tech company started and running in WV - There are some really great, kind, and talented engineers working there - They have a good tech stack - Good work/life balance
Cons
- Incredibly high turnover rate . They fire and or switch out employee positions literally several times a month. - Management roles are determined by who is closest with the CEO - The CEO had his business and success given to him. There’s a celebrated culture of the underdog mentality , and yet the CEO seemingly knows nothing of struggle. He fired several engaged employees during the pandemic without compensation - and not because of a lack of money. - The CEO is very involved in direct decision making , but knows almost nothing about software development . Your job security will depend on how much one or two people like you or understand your work, who will give that understanding to the CEO. - Dominance based leadership is favored over that of prestige . - There’s a weird artificial care here . That kind of “we’re a family” type of deal with lots of false promises . Yet believe me when I say after firing employees others cared about and respected , they tried to increase morale by buying Doritos , getting a new coffee machine, and buying mini golf and a throwing game. They don’t care .
