Pros

Clearly the company still exists - at least in name - which is a good thing for those employees who still work there.

Cons

A close-knit privately-owned family company with loyal employees was destroyed when the owner chose to sell it to Internet Brands - a division of KKR that is only interested in the bottom line. Internet Brands promised to make few changes, but within 6 months a dozen employees - many with a long history with the company - were sent packing. My own department once had as many as 16 employees, but when I was told on a weekday during the pandemic that it would be my last day, the department was down to fewer than 6. BTW, the rating that I’m giving the CEO is not for Richard LaLonde (who deserved a 5 star plus rating and has since passed away RIP Rich), but for Bob Briscoe and his underling Curt Cozad.

Pros

* Great Co-workers * Parent company is a large corporation so that provides a better set of benefits and job security. * Amazing commission structure * Joe Z is by far the best and most talented manager I've ever had. You can learn a ton of him and always feel supported. * Management truly wants to see you succeed, they will help in any way feasible in order to help you close deals and see success. * Minimal, if any, micromanagement.

Cons

* Dealers can be a bit crass and tough to get a hold of. Don't expect things to always be easy. * Automotive vertical and market conditions can at times be volatile. All verticals can at the end of the day, automotive is just slightly above average in this regard.

Unlimited compensation plan for performance, Good system and CRM, strong long-term brand.

Cons

No remote work option. Preferential treatment for some, but not all.
