Pros

Company car, phone, laptop, and working by yourself. Setting your own schedule during the day. Working outdoors is a plus

Cons

Little to no training from upper management. Highly understaffed. Preach being a family when really the company is basically a sweat shop. Pay is horrible for the amount of work and how dangerous the job can be. Not an equal opportunity company, certain employees are treated better/compensated more then others. Favoritism is very high at this company. With my experience both the north and central teams are treated extremely better then the south team. Including pay/salaries, equipment, and man power. Given the wrong equipment for everyday jobs even when asked for different equipment which is exactly what you need to be able to perform the job to the best of your abilities and being told you are required to use and be responsible for any and all damages that occur. Management is very poor going from safety managers/team leads all the way up to upper management in the office. Communication is terrible! Being told weekend shifts are MANDATORY when the company can’t actually say that it’s MANDATORY for weekend shifts. Raises are horrible as well. A guy could have 6 years experience and be praised as a god at a meeting then when his yearly raise comes he gets a quarter to fifty cents when only having 1 damage. A trackers work is highly undervalued! A tracker could do 50-70 tickets a day and still be treated as a new guy. Starting pay starts at 15 an hour with no experience yet they have guys that have been at the company for a year to 3 years who only make a dollar to dollar fifty more then a new tracker. 10/10 would NOT recommend this job UNLESS you are ABSOLUTELY desperate and need money/don’t have a life cause management will try to suck you dry of all the free time you have. Also on call and the on call scheduling is ridiculous. Some guys who are favored won’t have weekend on calls or have on Friday on calls, which a Saturday/Sunday on call shift is 24 hours (6am-6pm) when a Friday shift is 14 hours (4pm-6am Saturday morning) Company is completely un organized. DID I MENTION YOU DONT GET COMPENSATED FOR THE AMPUNT OF WORK YOU DO?! Company has a suggestion box (email) so trackers can send new suggestions to make the company better for all trackers. Suggestion box is a complete waste of time due to the fact management over looks about 99% of the suggestions. 2 paid sick days a year (which is absolutely ridiculous when working outside in all types of weather, including rain, snow, sleet, hail, thunderstorms, doesn’t matter they want the tickets marked.) 5 vacation days after a year of being at the company. Management preaches about their employee handbook but can’t follow their own rules/make new rules on the spot. Giving a guy a certain area because he’s the only tracker that can mark out in that area, which the drive time in the morning and afternoon is an hour to hour and a half commute and not being paid for drive time whatsoever and being required to clock in/out at the first and last ticket then make your way home.

Pros

If you like craziness this is the job for you with little pay

Cons

They set you up for failure . Areas are too big . Not enough training . Some utilities do not have prints or incorrect prints . On call hours can be long and crazy and areas are too big . Upper management needs to treat their workers with much needed respect especially the veterans who has worked there for years . Top pay which they are not going to tell you is 18 which it will take you 6 to 7 years to get to when they start you off at 15 a hour . The lack of being fair , they don't understand how hard the job can be as long as you can get ticket's done without help you'll be ok and lastly no home life just forget it you will not have one being in this company.
