Pros

People are great to work with. Great views of the SF Bay. Generous employee discounts.

Cons

Management has a lack of leadership as they prefer to manage up than trying to manage down. Lack strong communication and feedback from managers makes it difficult to go about your role. If you are new to Gap Inc., they don't provide proper Athleta training to set you up for success. There is a lack of support that didn't feel genuine as they were into themselves rather than building a team.

Thank you for sharing your perspective, we are sorry to hear of your experience. It is important for us to invest in our employees’ future, not just at the company, but long-term regardless of where their career takes them. We appreciate the feedback regarding management. We are fully committed to our employees’ development across our organization. We've recently re-launched our development planning program, GPS, and are working hard to make sure managers are accountable for their direct reports’ growth and development.

Pros

Very black & white on policies. You always know what is right or wrong.Operationally strong company that allows movement between brands. Decent pay if you advocate for yourself as an external, but don’t expect much once you’re in.

Cons

Company has changed direction so much since COVID. Seems like there’s no clear idea on who we are anymore.Senior leadership feels like a revolving door that only succeeds in spinning tires with no traction. We love to initiate something only to either sunset it months later or leave it in limbo(WellPro). The amount of stress pushed on stores to meet credit goals is absurd to the point it inspires unethical behaviors in certain stores.
