Too much work, not enough support, HR is fake - Senior Claims Examiner Athens Administrators Employee Review

Pros

Salary and benefits are decent but quickly are becoming less competitive. If you like independently working with little to no oversight until you mess up- this is your place. There are no metrics or relevant data measured and performance reviews are arbitrary and mostly based on how much the manager or HR likes you.

Cons

If you’re mediocre they will allow you to continue to flounder and bring down your team without taking any steps to fix it with additional training or support. Every attempt to bring change or ideas to the table is either ignored or reacted to badly. Management is reactive not proactive. They do not take constructive criticism or make improvements until something has gone wrong. Many supervisors in management are inept at best or dangerously undertrained/ not knowledgeable. Oversight is very behind and management tends to blame rather than support. Nepotism is obvious at all levels.

Pros

The company has a lot of programs and claims so you will always be needed

Cons

In my experience, workloads were difficult to manage, and staffing levels did not always keep pace with claim volume. Communication from management could be inconsistent, and I felt that employee concerns about training and support were not always addressed effectively. This created a stressful work environment and made it challenging to maintain work-life balance.
