While the leadership team is supportive and experienced in general business operations, there appears to be a gap in their understanding of what’s required to effectively scale a technology-driven company. The organization lacks strong product leadership and experience in building mature, scalable tech products. Hiring decisions are heavily constrained by budget, which has led to challenges in attracting and retaining highly skilled technical talent. Additionally, there is a noticeable imbalance between management and hands-on contributors — with too many in managerial roles and too few actively writing code. In a startup environment, it’s critical for technical leads to remain closely involved in development rather than operating primarily as product managers or sales representatives.
