Pros

Brilliant training for recruiters. Year long program where you meet peers from across UK + EU. Some fantastic people working for the company. People work hard and are smart. There are some very successful people to look up to and learn from. Base salary is better than other agencies, but still very poor for London market.

Cons

Managers promoted because they are good at selling and not managing people. Blame culture and they say they are diverse and inclusive etc. but they treat people with protected characteristics differently. Want to hire diversely, but have no adaptability to individual needs. Training program not respected or implemented when you return to office working too. Career opportunities exist but difficult to get to. The people who joined a few years back were promoted very quickly and took home a good portion of their Billings, but people who have joined in the last 2 years have not seen much by way of promotion or take home pay.

Pros

Aston Carter provided excellent opportunities for professional growth, career progression, and leadership development. I had the opportunity to work with some of the largest healthcare and insurance clients in the country, build strong client relationships, and lead high-performing teams. The company offers strong training, a collaborative culture, and a performance-driven environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded. I was fortunate to work alongside talented colleagues and supportive leaders who helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Cons

Like many staffing and recruiting organizations, the environment can be fast-paced and demanding, with a strong focus on metrics and performance goals. Work-life balance can be challenging during peak periods, and processes can sometimes vary between offices or leadership teams. However, these challenges also create opportunities for growth and development.
