Pros

Brand recognition, great CEO and strong client list.

Cons

I worked for Aston Carter for a number of years and the firm changed immeasurably during that time. When I started there was an excellent existing team and a great culture. Work life balance was never great and it was high pressure but 2 promotions in 14 months are evidence of what can happen if you perform. In the last few years due to completely inflexible management and a failure to replace good middle management who had moved on the London office was subject to massive attrition and a toxic atmosphere where middle management would take credit for your achievements and belittle anyone who wasn't in their clique. Team members when leaving were treated terribly with commission and shares not being paid. Very much enjoyed my formative years at the firm but I would not recommend to any new graduates currently.

Pros

Aston Carter provided excellent opportunities for professional growth, career progression, and leadership development. I had the opportunity to work with some of the largest healthcare and insurance clients in the country, build strong client relationships, and lead high-performing teams. The company offers strong training, a collaborative culture, and a performance-driven environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded. I was fortunate to work alongside talented colleagues and supportive leaders who helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Cons

Like many staffing and recruiting organizations, the environment can be fast-paced and demanding, with a strong focus on metrics and performance goals. Work-life balance can be challenging during peak periods, and processes can sometimes vary between offices or leadership teams. However, these challenges also create opportunities for growth and development.
